Rita Meadows, Visual Art and Music.
Rita Meadows was born in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Her hobbies were music and art. At age twentyone she decided to become a professional
vocalist. She started out in Amsterdam but soon after she was invited to travel all over
Europe. The band performed mostly at a Militar Basis, located in Europe and North Africa.
In 1974 she moved to the United States with her husband Don and Son Matthew.
Ocean Springs, Ms. is her home. As often as possible she visits her relatives in Amsterdam.
She studied Art at the MGCCC, and attended many workshops by well knows artists.
She performed with different bands on the Gulf Coast.
In 2003 she wrote, illustrated, photographed and painted, a children's book named
"Little Yarn"
A member of the Coop Art Gallery in Ocean Springs, where she exhibits her paintings, pottery, shoulderbags
and stoneware jewelry.
Art and music will always be the love of her life.
